Distribution-Fit Tools

To use historical time-based life (uptime) data or repair (downtime) data to make a
forecast (e.g., probability of no failure during the first 1000 hours), the data must be
converted to a probability distribution. To make a custom probability distribution, the
data must first estimate the distribution’s parameters that are unique for each data set.
To do this, the “distribution-fit tools” described below are available to KSC personnel.
To use these tools or to have your data modeled for you, contact Tim Adams/NE-TA.
